Undergraduate and Graduate Majors

The College of Education has over 30,000 alumni specializing as teachers, administrators, school
psychologists, counselors, exercise specialists, and health professionals.

The Alabama Adapted Athletics program, which is housed in the College of Education, includes one of the country’s three collegiate women’s wheelchair basketball programs and one of its 12 collegiate men’s wheelchair basketball programs. Stran-Hardin Arena was completed in 2018, making it the first of its kind and the largest adapted athletics facility at a higher education institution in the U.S. The Parker-Haun Tennis Facility, also the first of its kind as well as the largest facility dedicated to wheelchair tennis in the world, was completed in fall 2021.

The College of Education is dedicated to being a leader in Alabama and across the nation in teaching, scholarship, advocacy, and service by developing professionals with pedagogic and disciplinary expertise who advance the intellectual and social conditions of all learners in a globalized society.
