Our goal as advisors is to offer individualized, course-specific, and general academic assistance for all students. Students will be notified via email regarding advising procedures for each semester. Students are responsible for making an appointment with an advisor during the advising period of a semester (March and October). An advisor will work with the student in planning courses for the upcoming semester(s).

BOOK AN ADVISING APPOINTMENT
An advisor will release a student’s registration hold enabling the student to complete registration through myBama.
There are several ways to schedule an appointment. You may call (205) 348-6073 to set up a time for a phone or in person appointment. All advising sessions will occur between the normal business hours of 8:00 – 4:45.

One-on-one academic advising appointments
Degree and certification completion requirements
Graduation procedures and requirements
Maintenance of student records
Space for students to share concerns
Referrals to other UA resources
Transferring coursework from other colleges and universities
