Graduates of the College’s teacher education certification programs are welcomed into the profession with our pinning ceremony that recognizes the hard work they have put into their academic studies and the professional placements while learning and growing at The University of Alabama. A pinning ceremony is a public event involving the family and friends of teachers being recognized.

What does the ceremony include?
Recognition of each graduate, a student speaker, an oath to the teaching profession and a reception after the ceremony to celebrate.
Who can pin you?
You may select one person who you value to place the pin on you (i.e., teacher, relative, hero, mentor, faculty, staff, partner, etc.).
Who can attend?
2-4 people including the person who will be pinning you.

Application for Graduation
Nov. 1
Complete Qualtrics form with your information about the person placing the pin on you, your hometown, etc. This will be emailed to you the week of Oct. 1.
