BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Robert Mayben is the Alabama Technology in Motion (ATiM) Specialist for the UA/UWA Regional Inservice Center. He earned his Ph.D. in Instructional Leadership with an emphasis in Instructional Technology from The University of Alabama in 2010, and his dissertation examined the impact of instructional geocaching and GPS activities on student achievement.

Robert has served as an ATiM Specialist since 2004. Before joining ATiM, he taught English language arts, journalism, and computer applications at Etowah High School.

His educational technology interests span both emerging and foundational areas: artificial intelligence, digital literacy, computer science education, robotics, and drones in education as well as instructional geocaching, game-based learning, learning with LEGOs, graphic design, and other innovative teaching strategies.
