BIOGRAPHY
Meg Byrd is a K-5 math specialist and has been with AMSTI since 2012. Residing in Faunsdale, she currently supports math coaches in schools in the southern part of region 4. She is a lead facilitator for both Multiplicative & Fractional OGAP and supporting fractional sense-making is a priority for her. Prior to joining AMSTI, she taught 10 years of 6th grade math at Hillcrest Middle School in Tuscaloosa and two years of 5th grade math in Loudoun County, VA. Her undergraduate work was completed at The University of the South and Auburn University, and she has her master’s degree from The University of Alabama. When she is not in schools, she enjoys being outside with her husband, dogs, and plants.
