BIOGRAPHY
Lisa Fitzgerald is the Professional Development Coordinator for AMSTI-UA, one of 11 regional sites in Alabama. AMSTI, the Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative, is the Alabama Department of Education’s initiative to improve math and science teaching statewide. AMSTI-UA serves K-12 math and science teachers in 12 school districts and two charter schools in the West Alabama region. Mrs. Fitzgerald graduated from UAB with degrees in biology, chemistry, and secondary education. She previously taught science at Northside High School, has been employed at UA with AMSTI since 2008, and began serving as PD Coordinator for AMSTI-UA in 2014.
