BIOGRAPHY
Dawn Bryant is the Graduate Admissions and Certification Coordinator for the College of Education. In her role, she thoroughly enjoys supporting prospective graduate students through the admissions process and assisting current and aspiring educators and administrators in reaching their educational and career goals. Dawn also serves as a resource for alumni who need guidance with navigating certification issues and options. Additionally, her responsibilities include coordinating with departments to update the academic catalogs for the College of Education.
Education has always been a passion for Dawn. She grew up in Tennessee and moved to Alabama to pursue her goal of becoming a teacher. After graduating from Samford University with a BA in English and History, she earned an MS in Education degree in English from Troy State University at Dothan. Dawn has worked in the field of education for more than 25 years, including 20 years at The University of Alabama. Her experience encompasses middle school teaching, community college teaching, financial aid advising, scholarship coordination, and student services. She is a certified teacher in Alabama for English Language Arts and History.
In 2023, Dawn was honored by the College of Education as the recipient of the W. Ross Palmer Service to Students Award.
