The Teach in Bama program is designed to recruit, train, and retain talented individuals in the state of Alabama who have the potential to become successful teachers. The program consists of several stages, including identifying potential candidates, providing them with academic and professional development opportunities, mentoring and supporting them throughout their academic careers, and supporting them through their initial in-service teaching experience. A major emphasis of the program is to increase the pool of the teaching workforce by recruiting candidates from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
