BIOGRAPHY
Tricia Bowers serves as a K-5 Math Specialist with the Alabama, Math, Science and Technology Initiative (AMSTI) since 2007. Prior to AMSTI, she taught two years in Pickens County and 4 years in the Tuscaloosa County School System. Tricia is a facilitator for various learning opportunities AMSTI offers, including both Multiplicative and Fractional OGAP. She has been involved in writing professional development at the local and state level. She also serves as a mentor and supports K-5 math coaches in the UA AMSTI region. Tricia received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a Middle School Endorsement in Math from the University of Montevallo and her master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama.
