BIOGRAPHY
As an educator I have a passion for mentoring for young teachers and helping them develop in their passion and professional voice. After graduating from Purdue University in Elementary Education, I taught elementary school for over 10 years prior to moving to higher education when my husband and I moved to Alabama for his career. I have found so much joy in working with our teacher candidates and then watching them enter into their careers and improve education all over the world! In my free time, I enjoy reading (psychological thrillers are my favorite), crafting, and enjoying time with my family. My husband, Lee, and I have 2 children: Violet and Jordan. I always find it fun when teacher candidates have placements in my childrenās classrooms and my children come home reporting on how much they LOVE their āUA student teacherā.
