BIOGRAPHY
Andy Freeman, originally from South Elgin, Illinois, now resides in Northport. He is married and has two wonderful children, aged 16 and 3, along with a dog he enjoys spending time with during his off hours. Andy serves as the Materials Assistant with AMSTI at the warehouse on Highway 69 South, where he helps the Materials Manager ensure that their team has the necessary supplies to support Kindergarten through eighth-grade teachers. Part of his role involves building science kits for third grade and distributing them to schools across the state.
Before joining UA in 2014, Andy worked in retail for eleven years at Menards and Lowes. From 2014 to 2022, he worked at the Supe Store in the Student Center, focusing on textbook and online order departments. He has been with AMSTI since November 2022.
Andy holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and history from The University of Alabama. He has a strong interest in nearly every sport and athletic activity, particularly enjoying football, basketball, and golf. He also coaches youth soccer and plays golf and disc golf in his free time.
