BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Lisa H. Matherson retired in July 2024 from her position as Coordinator for Continuous Improvement and Clinical Associate Professor of Social Studies. A three-time graduate of The University of Alabama and the College of Education, she previously taught in the Tuscaloosa City Schools before joining the COE faculty in 2013. Though now retired, she remains engaged as an adjunct instructor for the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, serves as a faculty member on the Gandhi-King Scholarly Exchange Initiative grant program, and presents at state and national conferences. In retirement, she looks forward to reading all the books she hasn’t yet had time for and enjoying life.
