BIOGRAPHY
Anna Daly currently serves as a 5-8 Science Specialist and K-8 Digital Literacy and Computer Science Specialist. She joined the Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative (AMSTI) at the University of Alabama (UA) site in 2017. Prior to AMSTI, she taught middle school and high school science for 19 years in Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama. She was a middle school science trainer for the University of South Carolina (USC) and for AMSTI-UA before leaving the classroom.
She is a facilitator for various professional learning opportunities offered by AMSTI, including Science Foundational, 5-8 Science Units, K-8 Robotics Resources, and UA pre-service teachers. She has been involved in writing professional development at the local and state level. She is a member of the Alabama Science Teachers Association (ASTA) and National Science Teaching Association (NSTA).
She holds a bachelorās degree in Community Health Education (UA), a masterās degree in interdisciplinary science (USC), and a masterās in educational administration (USC). She has been a National Board-Certified Teacher since 2006 and currently facilitates the National Board support cohort for UA/UWA Regional Inservice Center.
