BIOGRAPHY
Ford began playing for Alabama in the fall of 2006 and served as captain for the first three years of the program. They transitioned to an assistant coach role in the fall of 2009. After spending a year with the women’s team under Coach Brent and winning a championship in 2010, they joined the men’s team under Coach Miles Thompson and contributed to winning a championship in 2013. They became the head coach for the men’s team, leading them to back-to-back championships in 2018 and 2019.
As a player, they achieved several accolades, including being named Freshman All-American and making the All-Tournament Team in 1996-1997 at UWW (University of Wisconsin-Whitewater). He was a National Champion during the 1996-1997 season and served as captain for Alabama from 2006 to 2009. In 2007, they earned the Iron-Man title at Alabama. He tried out for Team USA three times and were named an alternate once.
As a coach, their accomplishments include winning national championships in 2010 and 2013 as an assistant and in 2018, 2019, and 2023 as a head coach. He also led the USA U-23 team to a gold medal at the World Qualifier in 2022 as head coach.
