BIOGRAPHY

As an educator, Diana Winchester has a passion for mentoring for young teachers and helping them develop in their passion and professional voice. After graduating from Purdue University in Elementary Education, she taught elementary school for over 10 years prior to moving to higher education when she and her husband moved to Alabama for his career. She has found so much joy in working with our teacher candidates and then watching them enter into their careers and improve education all over the world! In her free time, she enjoys reading (psychological thrillers are her favorite), crafting, and enjoying time with her family. She and her husband, Lee, have 2 children: Violet and Jordan. She always finds it fun when teacher candidates have placements in her children’s classrooms and her children come home reporting on how much they LOVE their “UA student teacher.”
