Dr. Lane is one of the editors of the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consulting Manual used by Alabama’s State Department of Education.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS / ACTIVITIES
She has extensive experience providing services across diverse educational settings, including K-12 public schools, early childcare programs, HeadStart, preschools, alternative schools, charter schools, private schools, college and higher education, as well as private practice. In addition to her PhD internship requirements, she also completed a postdoctoral fellowship.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Dr. Lane has a passion for children and families and is dedicated to using her skills and experiences to teach and empower other professionals to further develop their knowledge and competency to serve children of all abilities. She greatly values and believes in collaboration, advocacy, equity, mentorship, and inclusivity. She is committed to incorporating evidence-based research and data-based decision-making practices into her daily work. She also is committed to the advancement of school psychology and supporting graduate students in their professional pursuit to become those that bridge opportunity gaps for all children so that all students can reach their potential.

BIOGRAPHY
Morgan Lane, PhD, NCSP, ECMH-E, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the School Psychology program at The University of Alabama. Dr. Lane earned her PhD in School Psychology from the University of Alabama. She also earned an EdS in Educational Psychology – School Psychology and an MA in Educational Psychology – School Psychometry from The University of Alabama. In addition, Dr. Lane earned a BA in Psychology and Education from Covenant College. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and has her National Endorsement® in Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH-E). Dr. Lane has both clinical and school-based experience across the state of Alabama. Her areas of specialty include autism, special education, assessment, and early childhood mental health and development. She also has experience in consultation and coaching, with a focus on providing educator and parent training on best practices related to supporting children with disabilities.
