Dr. Stephanie Anne Shelton and Educational Research Ph.D. students Kelsey H. Guy and April M. Jones have been awarded the 2021 American Educational Research Association (AERA) Division D Early Career Faculty Grant. The project, “Constructing a qualitative survival guide: Supporting underrepresented doctoral students in qualitative research,” will focus on supporting and mentoring #UAQual doctoral students as they construct methodological identities and navigate marginalized identities in higher education. Funding will provide a range of materials to advance students’ understandings of and engagements with qualitative research, including books, technology, and software.
