M. Ray Loree Memorial Research Award
The award is presented annually to the doctoral graduate in the College of Education whose dissertation has made the most outstanding research contribution to educational theory or practice.
Who is eligible: Recent doctoral graduate
Who may nominate: Anyone
Due Date:  Feb 1
Award: Plaque, monetary award, and the recipient is announced during the Honors Day Convocation.

Outstanding Teaching by a Master’s Student
Who is eligible: The individual nominated must have been enrolled in the fall, spring and/or summer semester of the previous academic year, with a graduate GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale); and major responsibility for teaching at least 2 course sections during the previous academic year.
Who may nominate: Each instructional department may nominate to the RFDC one graduate student for the master’s teaching award.
Due Date:  mid November
Award: Plaque, monetary award, and the recipient is announced during the Honors Day Convocation.

Outstanding Research by a Master’s Student
Who is eligible: The individual nominated must have been enrolled in the fall, spring and/or summer semester of the previous academic year, with a graduate GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).

Educator Hall of Fame 
Founded in 2012, by the College of Education Board of Advisors of The University of Alabama, the Educator Hall of Fame honors the accomplishments of distinguished leaders in the field of education or dedicated supporters of education.  https://education.ua.edu/alumni/hall-of-fame/
Who is eligible: To be considered, a nominee must be either retired from paid, full-time employment in education; be 65 or older.  Post-humous nominations are also considered. Nominees who are selected will be of character consistent with the standards of the education profession. Nominees must be from one of the following categories: Teacher/Educator, Educational Administrator/Leader, Education Supporter, or COE Faculty Member. With the exception of the COE Faculty Member and Education Supporter categories, a nominee must be a graduate of The University of Alabama’s College of Education. Nominees will be selected based on their displays of originality and creativity in making outstanding contributions either to the practice of education to educational leadership, and/or to the promotion of education, scholarship, or the well-being of students.

Capstone Education Society Beginning Teachers/Young Alumni Award

Capstone Education Society James E. McLean Excellence in Education Award
The Capstone Education Society created this award to honor educators (teachers, counselors, administrators and other education professionals) who through their work and accomplishments have brought honor and fame to the education profession.

Nellie Rose McCrory Faculty Excellence Awards
Three annual awards may be made to recognize excellence in teaching, excellence in faculty research, and excellence in service. These awards will be based on the impact of the faculty members’ work in each of these three areas that bring recognition to the faculty members, the College and the University. Earnings are used for, but not limited to, monetary awards for recipients, with one-third of the earnings allotted for each individual award. These awards are called the McCrory Award for Faculty Excellence in Teaching, the McCrory Award for Faculty Excellence in Research, and the McCrory Award for Faculty Excellence in Service.

For each award category, one award will be given to a faculty member in the area of Physical and Biological Sciences, Mathematics and Engineering; Social and Behavioral Sciences; and Arts and Humanities.

Burnum Distinguished Faculty Award

Outstanding juniors and seniors are encouraged to apply for the William P. & Estan J. Bloom Award, the Morris L. Mayer Award, the John F. Ramsey Award, the Catherine J. National Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Award
The National Alumni Association created the Distinguished Alumni Awards Program in 1966 to recognize a distinguished alumnus and alumna of The University of Alabama for their contributions to the institution and the Alumni Association. The award is based on one’s loyalty and service to the University and the Association; character and personal life; professional achievement or success in chosen endeavors; and community service on local, state, or national level.

Rickey Yanaura Crimson Spirit Award
