
Admission
To be considered for regular admission to a graduate program in the Department, a student must (i) present an acceptable entrance score, no lower than the 50 percentile on the Miller Analogies Test or 1000 on the NEW (1500 OLD) Graduate Record Examination and (ii) have maintained an undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or a 3.0 average for the last 60 semester hours in a degree program. For admission, an applicant must apply to both the Graduate School and to the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy and Technology Studies.

Send three letters of recommendation (as described in the Graduate School Application) sent directly to Ms. Laura Ballard.

Submit your vita and an example of your academic writing.
Vita. Your vita should explain your qualifications and experience in two or three pages. Be careful not to use abbreviations which may be misunderstood and ensure your presentation is clear and grammatically correct.
Writing Sample. An academic paper presented in a previous graduate course that demonstrates your knowledge of an area, powers of organization, command of language, and communication skills.
Statement of Purpose. Please be clear about (i) the reasons you wish to study in this program, (ii) why you are considering the program at this university, as opposed to another university, (iii) what in your background experiences do you think best prepares you for this program, and (iv) how do you see this program benefiting your current and future professional plans? Please try to limit your response to 500 words.
