The Higher Education Program offers three distinct degree programs, the M.A., the Ed.D., and the Ph.D., with competencies for each carefully matched to core coursework. Students may also select from a range of electives. In addition, students complete foundations and research requirements.

Students must successfully pass a comprehensive examination. The examination is case-based, requiring students to integrate knowledge gained across coursework.

Ed.D. and Ph.D. students must complete a dissertation, in compliance with Graduate School Requirements. Ed.D. students take a minimum of 12 dissertation hours, while Ph.D. students take a minimum of 24 dissertation hours.
