Two Faculty in COE Win CCS Awards for Teaching Excellence

Recipients of the 2008 College of Continuing Studies Teaching Excellence Awards were announced at a recent awards ceremony.

Dr. Stephen Tomlinson, Professor/Department Chair for Educational Leadership, Policy, and Technology was recognized for his organizational skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to his work in developing the infrastructures, curriculum and resources to make programs he touches a success. Additionally, he is known to show the same attributes toward his students and faculty.

Dr. Claire Major was recognized for her work with the Alabama Community College Leadership Academy. She is a co-founder of this successful program, which is now in its eighth year.
