Kathleen serves as program manager for the Alabama Consortium for Educational Renewal (ACER). The ACER program was established in 1997 and is a partnership between The University of Alabama, the Tuscaloosa City School and the Tuscaloosa County Schools. The partnership supports the collaborative development of school-university partnerships. Under the direction of Dr. Liza Wilson, ACER Executive Director, Kathleen maintains the daily operations of the program. Currently, ACER serves six professional development school partners, three in the Tuscaloosa City Schools and three in the Tuscaloosa County Schools. Additionally, ACER establishes working task forces to address critical educational issues, establishes networks among respective schools and universities and implements outreach programs for other schools.
